Positioning

What makes GCBA different.

Global Charter Brokers Association is the only association dedicated exclusively to advancing standards, transparency, ethics, education and public verification for the air charter brokerage profession.

01

Broker-focused, not operator-focused

Most aviation associations represent aircraft operators, manufacturers or business-aviation interests. GCBA is dedicated exclusively to the charter brokerage profession — the intermediaries clients rely on to identify, compare and coordinate charter options.

02

Open professional standards

The GCBA Professional Standards Framework and Code of Professional Conduct are public, versioned and open for consultation. Every standard is discoverable, quotable and improvable by the industry it serves.

03

Transparency and ethics

Clear disclosure of the broker's role, truthful marketing, documented operator due diligence, transparent contracting and accountable handling of client funds — codified in the Code of Professional Conduct, not left implicit.

04

Public broker verification

A structured directory with a published review methodology, explicit profile statuses and a public correction process. Inclusion documents disclosure — it never substitutes for regulatory oversight of the operating carrier.

05

Education and future certification

A forthcoming education pathway and Certified Broker programme will build a shared professional baseline: contract essentials, operator verification, payments, safety information and client care.

06

Independent knowledge base

Editorially reviewed guidance on contracts, operator verification, payments, compliance and client care — sourced from public regulatory material and practitioner experience, not vendor marketing.

Landscape

How GCBA fits alongside existing aviation organisations.

GCBA is complementary to, not competing with, existing aviation bodies. Each addresses a distinct part of the industry.

GCBA is an industry association. It is not an aircraft operator, direct air carrier, government regulator or substitute for legal or aviation-safety advice. Charter flights are operated by licensed direct air carriers exercising operational control.
